| Asti, Italy is a quite,
small town that lies in northern Piedmont. Asti is an older community
and still carries on with its traditional culture and heritage. It is probably
best known for its Asti Spumante, a sweet and bubbly wine manufactured
in the small town. Astis annual Palio is held in September. The
Palio offers street banquets, medieval markets, bareback horse races, and
a historic parade influenced by the 14th century. |
