There are many wine bars scattered around Bologna. Via del Prattelo is the center point of night life in Bologna. The bars and pubs in this area stay open all night, so you can sip drinks and watch the sun come up. The Osteria del Sole is open practically all day, and stays open until late evening. You can purchase a glass of wine, and even bring your own picnic. The Osteria del Sole was founded in the 15th century, so you can get a taste of ancient Italy and enjoy local Italians discussing everything from family to politics.
The University region is a wonderful place to sample Bologna’s night life. Pubs and bars are open until very late at night, and you have a chance to mingle with students from the University.
