Culture
 Arts and culture abound plentifully throughout Milan. The Teatro Piccolo offers wonderful performances year round and has become one of Milan’s best known cultural institutions next to La Scala. 
 Music lovers will also find much to do in Milan. The Teatro alla Scala is world renowned by opera enthusiasts. Tickets are hard to find, but there are normally standing room tickets sold just before the performance. Performances are held each Thursday and Friday, and on Sunday afternoons.

 The love of cinema is evident all throughout Italy, and Milan is certainly no exception. Milan currently has more than 20 cinemas. Art movies, box office hits, and avante gard films can all be found in Milan
 Besides the world famous fashion and designer shows, Milan also features many festivals at different times in the year. There are always jazz, theatre, and dance performances to be seen somewhere in the city, particularly during the summer months. Christmas celebrations are also a favorite of Milanese.
