| Getting to Napoli
is relatively simply. There are many domestic flights from Rome,
as well as other major cities in Italy, that head into the Aeroporto Capodichini,
which is the Naples airport. Once you arrive at the airport,
there is a city but that will transport you to the city. This is a 15 minute
trip. There are different airlines that all offer transportation
into and out of Napoli. Flight time from Milan to Napoli
is 1 ½ hours. Flight time from Rome is 50 minutes, and from
Palermo or Venice, flight time is 1 hour and 15 minutes.
There are also trains that
can transport you to and from Napoli. From Rome there are
at least two trains every hour, and the trip takes about 2 hours and 30
minutes. A bus trip from Milan will take you at least eight hours.
If you want to drive yourself
to Napoli, you can take the A2 or the A3, depending on which direction
you are coming from. Although driving into Napoli is fairly easy,
driving in and around the city can be quite difficult, so if you have the
chance, it may be easier to hire a taxi for your inter-city transportation.
However, keep in mind that things such as luggage and other items may carry
an additional fee. There are also buses that you can take inside
the city to get you around Napoli, however the buses are normally
overcrowded around rush hour, so it may be best to do your city traveling
during other times.
