There
Prato
is accessible by train, bus, or automobile. For driving into the city,
simply take the A11 from Florence or Pistoia and exit on
the Prato Est.
Prato
is included on the bus lines from Florence-Lucca-Viareggio
and Florence-Bologna. There are over 30 trains that
leave from Florence daily, and the trip takes only about 30 minutes.
The Prato Centrale train station is located
about 10 minutes southeast of the center, if walking. Train information
can be obtained at any train station or by calling 0574/26-617.
Buses
are also available. The Lazzi and CAP buses leave daily from Florence,
and take about 30 minutes to reach Prato. You can also find buses
from Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, and
Lazzi. Bus schedules and fare information can be obtained from the
